My shrink signed me off work for the duration.
I have been dealing with some incredible stress at work and it just got too much.
I can't go into detail here - suffice to say I cried all the way to the doctor and all the way home.
I hope I can get short term disability - we are going to be broke either way.
I am sorry to be so vague, but I still need some cheers without being able to dish.
On the way to the shrink I couldn't feel the baby move - and that was even more freaky - but she has since woken up and kicked me a few times so I am relieved.
I am going to bed for a nap - just so exhausted.

Sorry you're struggling. Lots of love.
I'm so sorry. Totally sending peaceful, it'll all work out vibes your way. I'm sure things will look better once you're away from work stress for a day or two. You and your sweetie will figure it all out. You did what you had to do for yourself and your baby. {{{}}}
I'm so sorry, I can't even imagine dealing with work stress at this point in pregnancy. I was lucky enough to have a very good work situation and I still found it almost intolerable to handle by the 8th month.
The important thing is to take care of yourself and your baby at this point. I'm so glad your shrink has signed you off of work - you shouldn't have a any problem getting STD in that case. Regardless, money is important but your happiness and sanity is much more so. Take care of yourself!
Hugs to you. I hope this helps broke or not. :)
I'm so sorry for all the stress and pain. Hugs.
Oh sweetie, I hate that you are having to go through this yucky time right now. But I know that if the psych said you should not work then the situation is beyond stressful. I hope that you are able to enjoy some home time before your little one arrives. Email if you'd like to vent in a detailed way. (())

:( So sorry to hear you are having work troubles. It seems like this has been an ongoing issue, so let's hope this marks a transition to a more positive period. For now, though, just rest & cry. You will figure the rest out somehow and you have such a strong partner and community, you do have people to lean on.
Hope things look better soon.
Oh friend, I'm so sorry to hear this...thinking of you, remember sometimes all we can do is take one day at time. The most important thing are you and the baby right now, I would take broke with my baby over what I have now in a second. Remember this is temporary and you will get through it...stay strong.
I'm so sorry about the stress - prayers for you.
So sorry that things are hard right now. You know, life continues to go on, suckiness and all, even after happy pregnancy news. Glad the little one is a-ok. Now it's time to take good care of mama!
I hope that whatever it is that's causing such awful stress is relieved soon. Do what you have to to keep yourself and that little one healthy and happy! I *hated* being on bed rest (not that you're on bed rest, but the feeling seems similar), but now I think fondly of those weeks before the boys arrived, just staying home and focusing on growing and enjoying the peace. Sending all the extra peace vibes I can muster in your direction...
I'm so sad to read this update. You're doing exactly the right thing though - take care of YOU right now. You and that baby girl are depending on it, and there is no person or situation at work that is more important.
Please let me know if there's anything I can do to help, even if that is just listen (read?). You know our shared line of work has dealt me some doozies, too.
Take care, my friend. I'll be thinking of you.
I am very, very glad to hear that the baby is fine but am very sad that everything has been so stressful with your work. Focus on keeping yourself and your little one safe and healthy!
Thinking of you!
oh my friend, I have been thinking about you and wondered if everything was ok. You had been so quiet.
Sorry work is so bad, keep focussed on the little one, you'll be busy very soon! Much love, Fran
I am so sorry for the stresses but I am glad to hear that you are taking time away from them for yourself and for your baby. I hope that things get better for you very soon. Hugs.
I am sorry things are not so good right now. Hoping with some much needed rest you can find some inner quiet and peace feel better.
sweet gal,
I am so so sorry for the stress, and so hopeful that time away will be helpful and not just more stressful.
and for the baby-- you are allowed to drink fruit juice (OJ is a magical liquid) and jiggle that baby until it moves. movement for me is nearly like prayer,
each movement, I say thank you.
thank you baby for moving, for reassuring me.
Thank you for your sweet comment on my blog. The red balloon images are me, holy crap. Justin's sites show his other work and I wanted to link to those for folks who wanted to see more of what he can do.
please take care of yourself,
and find ways to breathe and be present.
hang in there, and ask for help from your darlin, your shrink, all of us, whatever you need.
xo
Kate
You have such a hard job--everything you've said about it in the past is plenty of dish.
BIG HUGS and lots of foot rubs, and a JUMPING BABY! That is what you need.
And selfishly, maybe we'll get more blog updates!
